Job DescriptionPosition: Technical Specialist/ScientistLocation: Shaver Lake, CaliforniaDuration: twelve monthsCandidate must be Certified Arborist, have at least five years’ background in Utility Line Clearing Operations and be familiar with distribution and transmission circuits and have at least two years’ background managing field crewsDay-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload • Coordinating hazard tree removal operations on the Drought Removal Initiative (DRI) program within the Shaver Lake area.• Coordinating hazard tree removal operations on USFS land within the Sierra National Forest with USFS personnel.• Ensure contractor compliance with Line Clearance Technical and Non-Technical Specifications, ANSI A300, CPUC GO 95 Rule 35, and PRC 4292 and 4293.• Provide Technical support to contractors. Coordinate environmental and regulatory compliance in cooperation with state and federal organizations.• Respond with urgency to public safety concerns.
