Geotechnical Engineer - Mid Level - (Bismarck, ND)

Summary Barr Engineering Co. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team in Bismarck, North Dakota. The person selected for this position will work on consulting projects involving traditional geotechnical engineering design, establish internal and external client relationships, and help continue to grow Barrs profile in the Bismarck area through business development and marketing activities. Project work will involve geotechnical design related to shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, seepage, bearing capacity, settlement, pavements, deep foundations, retaining walls, dams, and blasting. Responsibilities include geotechnical engineering analysis using computer modeling; specifying, implementing and interpreting soil and rock investigations including drilling, cone penetrometer and in-situ testing; instrumentation installation and monitoring; and overseeing on-site and laboratory testing.
