Under the direction of the Program Manager, the principal role for the academic year is to provide tutoring services within the major subject areas and assist with after school activities and workshops. Key skills KEY FUNCTIONS (e.g., in order to be considered to perform this position, the person must be able to perform essential duties and responsibilities listed below): --- Provides academic support and tutoring in all major subject areas during the academic year --- Conducts individual and small group tutorials --- Assist with and contribute to the preparation of class material and student reports --- Serves as a mentor to students --- Chaperones field trips and participates in Saturday workshops once a month (if schedule permits) --- Completes Program evaluation forms --- Enforces and abides by the Upward Bound rules and regulations --- Attends orientation, program staff meetings
