* High-school/GED * Job description: Responsible for the review and evaluation of the medical record in order to assign accurate diagnosis and procedural codes ensuring optimal reimbursement while remaining compliant with all regulatory agencies. Also responsible for abstracting specific data elements for internal operation and reporting to regulatory agencies. Meets or exceeds quality and quantity qualifications at all times. May perform other duties as assigned. Job Specifications: [Required] High-school diploma or equivalent. CCS, RHIT, RHIA credential. At least 2 (2) years background of Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient Coding. At least 2 (2) years background with MSDRGs, APRDRGs and APCs.
