Insurance Verifier - PRN (6163-147) - (Fort Worth, TX)

All position assignments include Baylor Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Surgical Hospital Outpatient Center. * Interface with patients and families, physicians and staff. * Update patient demographics/details in system. * Verify insurance benefits, obtaining proper authorization from insurance carrier. * Determine what funds to collect upon admission. * Notify patients of monies due and document in billing system. * Other duties as required or requested by chain of command. This position is PRN and work hours will be on an "as needed" basis. Critical skills * Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties. * Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required. * Medical terminology and computer background beneficial * Great communication abilities. * Expertise to utilize Electronic Health Care Record system for documentation to patients account/record. * BLS required. Necessary background * High-school graduate or equivalent .
