Machine Shop Production Supervisor - (Rome, NY)

Provide day to day on shift direction of production employees to complete work per planned schedules, meet customer qualifications, ensure safe work conditions, reduce scrap, and reduce rework and equipment breakdown and downtime to lowest possible level. *** Provide shop floor leadership, including training, safety, mentoring, discipline, and morale. *** Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings, observations, and housekeeping activities to ensure safest, injury free work place. *** Prioritize and update production schedules and report progress to Plant Manager. *** Drive production through departments to meet production schedules. *** Work with Production Control to complete jobs to customer specifications. *** Investigate new methods, processes, and procedures to improve production efficiency and reduce cost. *** Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls for efficient manufacturing practices.
