Mechanical Design Engineer, Sr - (Jupiter, FL)

Position summary : The Flight Test Systems Design group is seeking an experienced mechanical/airframe design engineer for a design assignment working at Sikorskys Development Flight Center in West Palm Beach, FL. The selected applicant will be responsible for integration of instrumentation components on prototype and developmental aircraft with a focus on establishing structural configurations that meet customer qualifications for performance, weight, producibility and cost. This individual must be able to collaborate together with a variety of engineering disciplines in a cooperative Product Development Team environment as well as outside suppliers. The selected applicant will be responsible for creating concept, preliminary and detailed design packages that will be used to initiate fabrication/procurement qualifications.
