Emissions Development Engineer - (Jackson, MI)
Develop and analyze Urea and other mixing solutions for exhaust after treatment systems. Develop strategies to correlate urea deposit CFD predictions with test lab result. Required CFD analytical simulation knowledge, dosing, flow uniformity, thermal loses, back pressure and chemical reactions in the exhaust after-treatment systems. Lead research, analysis, prototyping, and prove-out of new products and methods. Responsible to ensure that products are robust, widely applicable, and feasible to manufacture. Translate anticipated customer technical requirements, developing product performance and durability specifications, supplier contact, technical development program management, developing and scheduling test programs. Lead individual new product development projects and coordinates activities within the department, cross-functional teams, and with outside suppliers to meet milestone dates. Establish and maintain integrated working relationship with other global Tenneco locations.
