Underwriting Trainer - MEMIC - (Portland, ME)

The Underwriting Trainer is responsible for assisting the Manager, Training and Development in planning, developing and delivering training programs that meet specific needs for the Underwriting Department. The Underwriting Trainer is responsible for one-on-one and group training of underwriting analysts and managing training performance. The Underwriting Trainer is responsible for providing on-going, accurate file approvals and feedback to trainees in order to facilitate their success. The Underwriting trainer will collaborate with the Manager, Training and Development and underwriting management teams to identify and analyze learning gaps and opportunities to facilitate staff development, promote continued high performance and continually adapt the training programs to accommodate the ever-changing needs of the business. Assists Manager, Training and Development in designing and developing training programs, materials and curriculum. Curriculum to span from new-hires to experienced level underwriting.
