Description: PURPOSE OF THIS POSITIONThis position is responsible for performing a variety of kitchen duties as directed by supervisor. Duties will be performed in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, Independence House policy and procedure, Independence House ethical statement and resident rights, subject to the ociate handbook.REQUIREMENTS- High school certificate or equivalent training or up to 1yr related skills or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to speak in sentences.- This position is classified at risk for possible occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens (HBV, HIV, etc.)PREFERENCES- Individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on his/her igned unit/department.
