Job title:Postdoctoral Scientist/Fellow (all types) **Department:** 7563- MIC Microbiology **Department Number:** 7563 **Location:** Medical Center **Summary Description:** Columbia University's Department of Microbiology & Immunology is seeking to increase the representation of research in immunology and host-pathogen interactions. 2 post-doctoral research positions are available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Ivaylo Ivanov at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Columbia University in New York City. Our laboratory studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms by which commensal microbes engage host immunity. We are particularly interested in pathways leading to generation of mucosal Th17 cells (Ivanov et al., Cell, 2006; Ivanov et al., Cell 2009).
