Solar Roofer II - (Bloomfield, CT)

Summary The Solar Roofer II is responsible for integrating new rooftop asphalt shingling with our Powerhouse solar shingles, while working with the solar installation team. This position reports to the Director of Construction Operations, and works closely with the electricians onsite as our in-house roofing point person. Critical responsibilities -- Ensure correct shipment and quantity of roofing materials received -- Remove old roofing material and ensure proper disposal -- Repair/replace underlayment and sheathing if required -- Shingle roof per plans to meet or exceed industry guidelines around solar shingles -- Set up scaffolding -- Ensure site is left in a tidy, clean manor -- Ensure plans are followed and roofing installed correctly -- Coordinate with solar install team throughout project -- Bid and prepare material lists -- Assess quality of roofing work at completion of job -- Other duties as required Essential Requirements -- At least 3 years' background in asphalt roofing installations -- Must be
