ArcelorMittal USA is seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of Shift Manager in its Finishing Division at their Burns Harbor, Indiana location. Job overview: Will direct the production, maintenance, and inspection activities to ensure the safe, quality standard and efficient production of products Required to monitor the operation and intercede promptly with corrective action, while co-coordinating multiple disciplines in the execution of these duties Responsible for the supervision of hourly personnel within the Division; to include the proper training and utilization of employees and management of personnel issues (offering overtime, job duties, inputting time, safety contact, etc) Must maintain a fair and equitable relationship with the hourly personnel Enforce rules within department area for safety, security, and environmental compliance Coordinate activities with support groups, schedulers, upstream and down- stream production units and maintenance units, etc.
