Medical Biller/ Coder - (Birmingham, AL)

Randstad is partnering with several top healthcare practices and organizations in the Birmingham area who are actively looking for qualified support staff to add to their team! These positions include medical coding, billing, payment posting, and insurance follow-up. Responsibilities: Assignments include verifying and processing timely and accurate fees and codes, researching and reviewing accounts, following up with insurance and providers, and posting payments. Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Skills: *Detail-oriented *Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment *Great communication abilities *Knowledge of medical terminology *Familiar with insurance providers, Medicare, & Medicaid *CPT, ICD-9, & ICD-10 codes Education: Associate Experience: Experienced Requirements: *2+ years of experience in a medical office required *1+ years of billing experience wanted *Knowledge of EMR systems *CPC preferred *Billing and coding certificate preferred *High-school diploma required
