Position details Quality Engineer / Quality Control Engineer Location: Elk Grove Village, IL Pay level: 65-80K Duration of Job: Direct hire POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for the analysis methods and the development of systems to ensure products or services are manufactured to meet or exceed the customer's qualifications and expectations as well as for improving the quality of the product and the production process while identifying and reducing waste in its many forms. Use a cross-functional approach involving multiple business and engineering disciplines and a broad spectrum of methodologies. REQUIRED FUNCTIONS: Initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) to ensure work instructions are up to date and reflect MSC's processes are in line with product qualifications by means of an on-line process audit procedure Comply with IATF 16949 standards Application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools, such as Quality Function Development (QFD)
