Schaeffler Aerospace USA, is seeking a is seeking a Buyer ? Plant Purchasing ? Direct Material to support our Danbury, CT location.?The position will support the Purchasing Department.?The goals of this?position is to ensure a reliable supply components and material to the company, at the required price, time and quality. ?Key assignments include but not limited to: Establishes goals and objectives for the purchasing function to support all corporate plans through meaningful measurable and cost strategies Works with the Commodity Managers, Product Line Buyers and Supplier Development to develop and source new and existing suppliers to ensure min total cost for the supply chain and that the corporation?s longterm quality goals are being met Ensures supplier communication/ monitoring/ selection/ RFQ process, in coordination with Commodity Management
