Veterinary Technician Instructor - DVM / Part-time - (San Marcos, CA)

Instruct and implement the Veterinary Technician program to educate students in accordance with the curriculum standards and objectives. KEY FUNCTIONS Maintain DEA license and controlled substances logs, to include amount/supply and expiration. Provide the medical decisions for the patients for the program. Examine patients for medical necessities and review any diagnostic testing that has been performed and record all findings. Communicate with the rescues on abnormalities. Ensure completeness of medical records in compliance with AVMA and USDA. Perform medical procedures. Attend IACUC meetings and listed as Attending Veterinarian . Attend Advisory Board meetings. Implement and evaluate daily lesson plans for students to include scheduled activities and materials of sequences and courses. Plan instruction to achieve specific objectives based upon student need and established curriculum.
