DESCRIPTION Immigration Paralegal Reports to: Director Location: Astoria, NY Hours: Full time Immigration Advocacy Services, Inc. (IAS), is a not-for-profit Immigration Outreach Center that has been helping our nation s immigrants since 1988. IAS helps people with: Obtaining accurate up-to-date details on new laws and procedures Providing assistance with all immigration procedures and computerized on-line filings Providing access to immigration staff attorneys who specialized in and limit their practice to immigration law Anti-fraud services in cooperation with NYC Department of Consumer Affairs, Mayor s Office of Immigrant Affairs and the NYS Attorney General Referrals to AILA Attorneys, Accredited, Outreach and voluntary service agencies Referrals to Congressional Representatives and Government Agencies Certification, translation and notarization of documents Citizenship drives coordinated with social service, ethnic and cultural groups Fingerprints for Canadian, NASD/SEC
