Registered Nurse, 4K - (Temple, TX)

Tour of Duty: Rotating Tours of Duty to include days, weekends, evening and night shifts. Eight-hour shifts schedules are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, 3:30 pm -12:00 am, and 11:30 pm - 8:00 am. Twelve-hour shifts are optional and are 7:30 am - 8:00 pm, 11:30 am - 12:00 pm (Midnight), and 11:30 pm - 12:00 pm (Noon). DUTIES: The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) Nurse functions as an intermediate level nurse, depending on education and background. CTVHCS is a major interdisciplinary teaching facility, serving medical, surgical, and neurological inpatients and outpatients. Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care based on age-specific components.
