Senior Research Technologist (Radiation Oncology) - (Memphis, TN)
OverviewA unique research position is available immediately in the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Chemical Biology and Therapeutics to apply cell-based high-throughput and high-content screening methodologies and orthotopic xenograft tumor models to investigate molecular mechanisms of radiation response and evaluate small-molecule drug potentiation across and within diverse pediatric malignancies. This work will directly support a preclinical translational program dedicated to the enhancement of the therapeutic ratio of radiotherapy in pediatric cancers. A collaboration has been established between the laboratory of Dr. Anang Shelat within the Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics and Dr. Christopher Tinkle within the Department of Radiation Oncology to develop an efficient preclinical program to identify radiation sensitizers and explore novel signaling pathways governing RT response.
