Senior Scientist I, Global Biologics Discovery (East Falmouth,MA) - (East Falmouth, MA)

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative scientist to join the AbbVie Global Biologics Discovery organization. This individual will contribute to the development and testing of novel fusion proteins and to the exploration of protease activation/localization in normal vs. diseased tissues. Ability in protease and extracellular matrix biology in mammalian systems preferred, as well as scientific knowledge of 1 or more of the following: Immunology, Oncology and Immuno-Oncology therapeutic areas. This individual will work in drug discovery cross-functional teams both internally and externally. Critical responsibilities: Execute hands on scientific research involving screening of recombinant tool and therapeutic proteins, including antigens, antibodies, fusion proteins and multi-specific biologics. Apply various in vitro analytical methods to characterize and test recombinant proteins in relevant biochemical and cellular experiments.
