Quality engineer - (Frederick, MD)

Our client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer in Western Maryland. This job will have the following responsibilities: Lead the Company's Quality Program at the plant level to ensure the product delivered meets internal quality standards Ensure SOPs procedures are sustained in the manufacturing processes Recommend and assist with process improvements Ensure assembly operations conform to general and mandatory specifications Work with vendors and do customer visits Support company operational excellence initiative Requirements: BS in Engineering or technical field. 5+ years' background in Process/Manufacturing Engineering or Quality Engineering in a plant environment. Formal Process improvement knowledge in a manufacturing environment such as Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, etc. is needed 6 Sigma Green Belt training or certification is highly preferred Prior supervision background or CQE Certification is a plus.
