Process engineer - (Belvidere, IL)

Position: Process Engineer Company : Global Automotive IT Organization Location: Rockford, IL area Position: Process Engineer Salary : $70k - $80k Position: Direct Hire Travel: 0% Reports to : Molding Department Manager Specific Job assignments: Develop and maintain a value stream map for each manufacturing process inside the facility, where appropriate. Utilize lean manufacturing principals to reduce inventory, and develop a single piece flow production system, were appropriate. Lead the Customer's systems 5S implementation and assist in training employees on the 5S principals. Work with program management to ensure facility readiness for all new program launches. Perform time studies and monitor on-going line balancing activities. Develop qualifications for and obtain capital funding for required plant equipment. Implement Poke yoka systems to prevent errors in the manufacturing process. Continually improve the manufacturing process efficiencies to reduce production costs.
