The CNC Programmer five axis is part of the manufacturing team that creates computer numerical code for multi 3, 4 and 5 axis machines. This person must provide technical assistance to the machining departments, and maximize machine utilization. The job requires a proven ability of technical knowledge to aid in meeting goals for safety, quality, delivery, and profitability. Analyze drawings, models, and design data to create competitive bids, cost reductions, complex parts, and work holding devises. Creates numerical code for multi-axis machines in support of all production processes and equipment using supplied software Creates detailed tooling and setup instructions in support of new and repeat production Technical resource and support for all machining related operations, leads issue solving, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize effectiveness. Possesses and maintains advanced technical knowledge of machine operation, machining practices, and tooling.
