Job Coach/DSP - (Stow, OH)

Position overview: This position involves providing on-site assessment and training skills to clients at a work site that is developed by 1 of the agency's employment specialists. Uses structured techniques to help the supported employee learn to perform job tasks to the employer's specifications and to learn the people skills necessary to be accepted as a worker at the site or a similar type site in the community. Referrals for job coaching will specify the areas in which the consumer is to be trained and assessed, job location, hours and days of assessment, client name and other relevant details. Referrals will be based on the needs of the client and the job coach's knowledge about the type of job site, employers' expectations of the employer and industry practices.
