Central Service Technician - Full-time - (Pittsburgh, PA)

Description GENERAL OVERVIEW Cleaning, processing and storage of instrumentation, supplies and equipment; issuing and charging of all medical/surgical supplies under the direction of the Registered Nurse. CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Performs all required quality urance tests and operates all sterilizing equipment following regulatory directives. (25%) Performs documentation and recordkeeping according to established policies, guidelines and regulations. (25%) embles and maintains specific patient care equipment and medical instrumentation utilized throughout the facility. (25%) Follows established policies and procedures, including the use of Standard Precautions, when decontaminating equipment and instrumentation. (25%) QUALIFICATIONS Minimum High school degree or equivalent required. Preferred Enrollment in a surgical tech/sterile processing program preferred. CRCST eligible or CRCST preferred. Willing to pursue a CRCST certificate after 1 year of experience.
