Plans and administers the office programs to promote safety in all aviation activities. Has responsibility and authority for all decision-making in a wide variety of administrative and technical areas. The office promotes the aviation and safety programs, and may certificate commercial and general aviation carriers, pilots, mechanics, and schools. Responsible and accountable for the supervision, management and ignment of multi- disciplined work performed by Aviation Safety Inspectors which includes maintenance, avionics and operations.
