Mechanical engineer - (San Mateo, CA)

Responsibilities: * New product development from prototype through to high-volume production * Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team from design conception through verification testing of the system, ensuring designs are reliable and scalable * Identify and resolve critical mechanical performance qualifications to enable the best patient background * Optimize design for manufacturing and develop manufacturing processes * Cooperate with contract manufacturers and design studios to deliver high quality products Education and Background: * BS in Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering or related position (MS+ a bonus) * 5+ years of background in medical device design and development * Demonstrated expertise to manage designs from concept through manufacture * Proficiency with CAD (Solidworks preferred)
