Mortgage Loan Officer - (Alexandria, VA)

Job details:The position of Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) will assist credit union members in obtaining home financing. The MLO initiates the application process in accordance with all applicable Credit Union policies and federal/state regulations, provides a high-level of member service by educating the member regarding the mortgage origination process, sets the member's expectations and keeps all parties to the transaction informed as to the status of the loan applications, and meets min volume thresholds. This position works with members to understand their needs and ensures that they acquire a loan product appropriate to their individual circumstances. The MLO presents members with the best available product and rate options, makes recommendations, counsels the borrower in the home buying and financing process, and advises on the financial and long?term impact of various products. This position also completes detailed applications at times and locations convenient to the member.
