RPG Programmer - (Ronkonkoma, NY)

Client on Long Island is looking for a very strong RPG programmer to work with their AS/400 I Series Power System. Assignments include: "Analyzes, designs, develops, and maintains iSeries applications software utilizing RPG, RPG ILE, RPG-FREE, and SQL languages. "Write programs based on system specifications "Code new RPG programs and modify or enhance existing RPG programs. "Troubleshoot and debug existing code and system to identify and resolve issues. "Tests code and fixes to ensure quality. "Perform maintenance on existing programs and makes enhancements to applications based on user qualifications "Implements newly created code and fixes into existing software. Desired Skills and Background: "IBM iSeries AS400 background "RPG IV, RPG Free, ILE "Use of embedded SQL "Support of Manufacturing systems and software is strongly desired.
