Shipping Clerk - (Virginia Beach, VA)

ADS warehouse is currently in need of a Shipping Clerk. Responsibilities Prepares items for shipping, verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments. Compares identifying info and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify info against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Determines best method of shipping. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping details on cartons, using stenciling equipment. Assembles containers or selects preassembled containers. Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. Affixes identifying details and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. Posts weights and shipping fees, and affixes postage. Routes items as appropriate Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
