Bookkeeper / finance associate - (Lafayette, CA)

The Finance Associate is a full time position responsible for managing the accounts payable and receivable processes under the supervision of the Staff Accountant in our Lafayette office. This position may also grow to assist in other areas of finance department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Accounts Payable: Manage accounts payable (AP) including coordinating and processing of AP invoices, checks and employee reimbursements on a weekly basis. Research AP invoice integrity. Manage employee mileage reimbursements on a monthly basis. Manage details relative to new vendors' 1099 status and their Tax Identification Numbers (TIN) Assist with preparation of 1099/1096 forms on an annual basis. Assist with preparation of 1094-C/1095-C forms on an annual basis. Accounts Receivable: Perform month end billing activities as directed. Work with database and electronic billing systems to produce and submit monthly invoices. Reconcile accounts receivable (AR) payments. Follow up on unpaid invoices.
