Mechanical Engineer - (Alexandria, MN)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Mechanical Engineer position is responsible for producing and reconfiguring complete machine design packages using existing technology. This position interacts frequently with internal customers and occasionally with external customers. In addition, this position's area of influence will focus primarily on routine projects assigned to him or her within their own department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & Assignments include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Produces and reconfigures complete machine design packages using existing technology used within the company. Generates the Bill of Material and related documentation for all assigned projects. Maintains project schedules and completes assigned projects within allocated hours. Required to travel to customer sites to assist with machine installations or to resolve machine problems when necessary. Supervises Assistant Designers/Detailers, which includes directing their work and completing their performance reviews.
