Mechanical Design Engineer with Security Clearance - (Lexington, MA)

Solidus is searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Responsibilities: -Mechanical design and analysis of test fixtures, in addition to developing and overseeing the mechanical assembly and environmental test of high reliability electronic, electro-optic and opto-mechanical systems. -Environmental tests will include vibration, shock and thermal vacuum testing. -Verifying that all assembly and test operations are executed as required by procedures, documenting discrepancies and assisting with problem and failure resolution. Qualifications: -US Citizenship and the expertise to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance -Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering plus one year of min relevant background in mechanical design, assembly and environmental testing of high reliability electronic, electro-optic, mechanisms, or opto-mechanical systems for DoD or aerospace applications.
