Associate Medical Director - (Lumberton, NC)
JOB PURPOSE: Psychiatry is the cornerstone of community mental health treatment. The primary responsibility of the Associate Medical Director is to assess individuals that Monarch serves, diagnose psychiatric conditions as indicated, make recommendations for additional assessments, order labs, make appropriate referrals, and prescribe medications to treat psychiatric conditions with the goal of enhancing the quality of life and promoting recovery. They are also responsible for local clinical leadership and support for the staff that is providing the care in local outpatient facilities. PREREQUISITES: 1. Graduation in good standing from an accredited medical school and the attainment of an MD/DO. 2. Completion of a 3 to five-year residency in child/adult psychiatry. 3. Three Years of post-residency background in child/adult psychiatry. 4. Board certified, or board eligible (proof required), in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. 5. North Carolina licensure in good standing. 6.
