Buyer/Planner - Optex Systems - (Richardson, TX)

BUYER/ESTIMATOR Optex Systems, Inc. which was founded in 1987, located in Richardson, Texas, manufactures optical sighting systems and assemblies, primarily for Department of Defense (DOD) and Commercial applications. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Buyer/Estimator to join our team. POSITION DUTIES : Responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, and preparing material cost estimates for responses to open bid proposals. The position analyzes customer requests for quotes (RFQ) and provides cost estimates to be used in the completion of contract bids. Receives, processes, and distributes customer documentation required to produce a finished product. Works with Optex engineers and management to identify and implement cost reductions.
