Job description: Primarily responsible for thorough follow-up and collection of underpaid claims in late stage or escalated status for assigned clients. General Purpose: Client relations; problem resolution; critical thinking; collections; relationship building Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, payors and BLS personnel Promotes positive public relations for BLS including maintaining a professional attitude and approach with insurance companies and other payors Contact insurance companies to explain and resolve underpayments and arrange for payment or adjustment processing on behalf of client Follow up on claims in a timely fashion as outlined in BLS and/or departmental policies and procedures Document details in appropriate BLS and client systems, including completion of call logs Prepare and submit correspondence such as letters, emails, on-line inquiries, appeals, adjustments
