Manager of systems engineering - (Kutztown, PA)

Manager of Systems Engineering East Penn Manufacturing Co., (Deka Battery), a local manufacturer with a worldwide reputation in the battery & wire and cable business, has an immediate opening for a Manager of Systems Engineering who will support and report to the VP of Technology. The Manager will be accountable for the development of new battery related systems across all East Penn Battery Divisions. Systems include Lead Battery and Alternative Battery chemistry systems including but not limited to Lithium Ion. Systems may include Battery Management Systems (BMS), communication protocols to original equipment (OE's) and cloud based. Battery related systems may include monitors and charging systems. The qualified applicant will be responsible for the following: Working with a team comprised of: Engineering, R & D, Procurement Manufacturing, Quality, and Safety. Develop system requirements. Design FMEA. Define interface requirements (component, customer). Develop test plans.
