Lake Shore Cryotronics is an international leader in developing innovative measurement and control solutions, primarily for scientific applications. Our equipment is often used to characterize physical properties of early stage electronic and magnetic materials. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will focus on new product design of mechanical and electro-mechanical components of PC-controlled measurement instrumentation products. Products typically involve the manipulation of cryogenic and magnetic environments using cryostats and laboratory electromagnets Some Primary Duties Include: Participating in New Product Design under ISO 9001 methodology, including: Collaborating with Product Engineers to refine design qualifications and timetable estimates. Participating in computational analysis, proof of concept design work and computer modeling efforts to evaluate early design concept worthiness. Using mechanical parametric CAD software (Solidworks) and DFA/DFM techniques during product design.
