Data Science - Director/Professor - (Lamoni, IA)

Graceland University seeks its inaugural program director/faculty member for a new Data Science program. The successful applicant must hold a Ph.D. in Data Science or a closely related position and have strong commitment to excellence in teaching and working in a liberal arts environment. The program director/ faculty member will be charged with development and implementation of the curriculum for a new Data Science Program at both the undergraduate and masters levels. Key responsibilities include working through accreditation, admitting the 1st graduate class, and providing leadership for all aspects of program development. Additional responsibilities include some classroom and laboratory instruction, advising, academic coordination, program evaluation, scholarly activity and committee involvement. Start date: around July 1, 2019. Review of applications will begin February 15, 2019 and continue until the position is filled.
