Youth Care Worker - (Lampasas, TX)

Summary: Full time Child Development Specialist position will provide direct supervision to children, ages 5-17, in a supportive youth development environment at residential treatment center. ***Position is located between Brownwood and Goldthwaite, Texas. Applicant must reside in or near the Brownwood or Goldthwaite community.*** Responsibilities included, but not limited to: Provide direct supervision to a group of children, many who are experiencing emotional trauma Actively participate in the treatment plan of each child with guidance and assistance of the treatment team Complete required annual training and continuing-ed hours including New Horizons Philosophies and Guidelines, CPR, 1st Aid, Psychotropic Medications and various other trainings Provide a safe environment Be aware of child's habits, interests and physical, mental, emotional and social needs Build a healthy relationship to help heal emotional trauma and encourage positive behavior and relational growth
