Accountant Senior II - (Maryville, TN)

JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing senior level professional support in the areas of monthly close, affiliate transactions & reporting, fixed assets, and taxes. This position will also be responsible for financial reporting for Blount Memorial Physician Group and Blount Memorial Foundation. A successful Senior Accountant combines attention to detail with excellent analytical skills and a good knowledge of accounting principles to develop and analyze reports. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education and/or experience: Requires a B.S. degree with a major in accounting. Requires 3-five years of professional accounting experience, with a hospital/healthcare experience strongly preferred. Knowledge: Requires knowledge of routine accounting functions to produce financial statements; Knowledge of general healthcare practices, accounting, and operations is strongly preferred.
