Director of Programs - (St Louis, MO)

PURPOSE OF POSITION The incumbent under general direction works with individuals to provide support and individualized counsel and facilitation toward self-sufficiency through employment and training programs. This position is focused on achieving goals for the employment program in a manner which reflects the mission, philosophy and policies of Covenant House Missouri. SUMMARY OF DUTIES (Responsibilities to include but not limited to the following) Manage and counsel youth and facilitates and monitors their progress toward self-sufficiency. Conducts orientation and appraisals of youth in training program. Supervise youth participating in agency sponsored employment opportunities on site and off site. Represent CHMO at various external functions. Report on each youth's employment and social progress in detail through narratives, phone calls to parents and student & staff meetings. Collaborate with Support Services staff to foster a positive culture of learning and career exploration.
