Tool Room Machinist B Class Inspect interior surfaces of molds to locate pits and holes. Clean, disassemble, assemble and maintain molds when necessary. Construct jigs and fixtures for secondary operations on finished goods. Repair mold defects and smooths the interior of molds. Machines replacement parts for machines and is capable of operating all of the machines in the department. Drill and tap holes, thread shafts and perform milling operations. Removes residue, blemishes, corrosion, and similar defects from interior of injection molds by working from detailed drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed sketches.
