Microbiologist needs 1-two years of background in a microbiology/biology lab Microbiologist requires: Min of B.S. degree in Microbiology or Biology with Microbiological coursework/labs. Knowledge of microbiological lab techniques and good laboratory practices. Excellent oral and written correspondence abilities. Demonstrated teamwork. Background in Microbiology lab preparing culture media, conducting standard microbiological tests such as pour plate, colony counting, serial dilutions, culture transfer. Familiar with micro lab equipment/use, e.g Autoclave and pH meters. Microbiologist duties: Provide day to day lab support for the Microbiology department. Coordinate routine testing of beverages and ingredients. Conduct standard microbiological tests on beverages, concentrates and ingredients. Assist in conducting microbiological challenge studies for soft drinks, concentrates and ingredients. Coordinate log-in and reporting of samples and sample test results.
