HVAC Technician - (Amherst, MA)

Full time, 40 hours per week, year round position, grade 20, hourly rate commensurate with background and requirements The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, repair and operation of all heating, ventilating and air conditioner systems throughout the campus with particular focus on the New Science Center. Involves customizing of heating, ventilation and a-c environments through writing and adjusting program code for the energy management system, for the specific needs of people, animals, plants and research experiments. Beyond conventional' HVAC systems, the New Science Center will be equipped with numerous advanced and specialty systems that will be networked together and tied into the building management system (BMS) for both trouble alarms and management of normal operations.
