Archaeologist The Archaeologist will function as a Crew Chief for archaeological field research projects conducted by the Cultural Resources Management Program. This position will supervise aspects of the archaeological survey and excavation projects under the direction of the Field Director Key functions of Archaeologist III (Crew Chief: Function as Crew Chief on archaeological field research projects preformed by the Cultural Resource Management Program. Assist the Field Director in directing and coordinating archaeological fieldwork including surveys, mapping and excavation of prehistoric and historic sites. Assist the Field Director in preparing work schedules and project reports. Assist the Field Director in providing training in basic archaeological field techniques for field staff. Assist the Field Director in maintaining a complete inventory of archaeological field equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Archaeologist III (Crew Chief)
