Responsible for supporting the operation and the improvement of existing manufacturing processes and systems. The Process Engineer designs, develops, and evaluates manufacturing processes and systems to meet objectives. Assignments include maintenance, enhancement, and troubleshooting of existing systems. Support unit engineering and production needs to ensure the unit runs safely, efficiently, and reliably at all times. Provide process ability to ensure safe and cost effective operations, monitor cycle times and rates, correct deviations, and troubleshoot product quality. Monitor process parameters and alarms to ensure compliance with normal, safe, and not-to-exceed limits. Promote and monitor safe work practices through permit approval, job monitoring, job hazard analyses, and safety council participation. Participate on improvement projects and other teams to help provide operation improvements.
