Job overview: The Buyer/Planner is responsible for material availability as it applies to sustaining the manufacturing lines, continuous process improvement, cost out, new product introduction and transfers of work. This role also supports the materials team in achieving business objectives such as price deflation, inventory turnover and customer on time delivery. Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for reviewing material planning requirements (MRP) and purchasing activities for select suppliers and assigned parts in support of Production, non-production and/or After Market business. * Maintain PO due dates and quantity changes on a daily basis and communicate changes. * Reschedule POs as needed to meet production needs. * Develop projects to meet company inventory and deflation goals. * Create and compile performance reports for suppliers and service for Business Units and suggest plans to achieve performance objectives.
