CNC Machinist I - 2nd shift - (Cumberland, RI)

OverviewThe CNC Machinist II is responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC and manual machines as well as the inspection of parts. Must have the demonstrated skills to follow written instructions and responsible for monitoring the equipment to its full capacity. Must have the demonstrated expertise to perform work according to specifications and company quality standards.Responsibilities* Proficient in the setup, use and maintenance of CNC Lathe and CNC Vertical Mill inclusive of 5, 4 and 3 axis milling machines. This includes interacting with all aspects of a machine's controls and operating software as well as comprehension of tool touch off procedure with understanding of tool compensation and wear offsets to deliver product within specification.* Responsible for the changeover of product with basic set up, including; work holding fixtures, stops, datum offsets and indicators.
